I was having a conversation today with a lady who works with artists , both mainstream and local. Well we got on the conversation about artist image. She began discussing things like, "the artist must match his sound." And you want to know something? She is absolutely right. I have been at showcases, open mics, talent contests, etc and I often say to myself regarding the artist..."Does He Really Make Sense." Lots of times, the answer is.."Not really." Your outward appearance must match your sound. It is extremely important to recognize whether you look the part of an artist and of the lyrics you are spitting that takes their craft serious

Who’s Really “GRINDING” ?


If you use social media I’m sure you’ve seen more than one indie artist on more than one occasion post or tweet that they are “grinding” right? Of course you have, we all have. All this so-called “grinding” makes me question, who is really on their “grind”? And more importantly, what defines “grinding”? I will be using quotation marks throughout this article because the word has been misused and before I will use it in its proper context, the word must be fully understood and explained.

KM:  Since Crown Mob, your name has been ringing in the music industry for numerous reasons--music, relationships, the fight with Precious, you blossoming into a beautiful young woman, relationships.  With that being said, what actually happened with the situation in Love & Hip Hop Atlanta?

Diamond:  Well, I just felt like it really wasn't a good look for the Diamond brand. Television is definitely something Diamond is interested in and sees as a future option for the Diamond Brand.  The Diamond Team just felt like Love & Hip Hop Atlanta wasn't a good look for the Diamond Brand. Point blank, period.
